Terms of Service
Last updated: June 29, 2026
Welcome to UroNovus. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the UroNovus website and its content (the "Service"). The Service is operated by the UroNovus team ("UroNovus", "we", "us", or "our").
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
1. About the Service
UroNovus is an online educational platform that provides urology board-preparation and study materials, including a question bank, study guides, clinical scenario tools, and exam-practice resources. The Service is intended for use by medical students, residents, physicians, and other healthcare professionals for educational and self-assessment purposes only.
The content provided through the Service is for learning and exam preparation. It is not medical advice and must not be used to diagnose, treat, or manage any patient. Please read our Medical Disclaimer carefully — it forms part of these Terms.
2. Eligibility
To use the Service, you must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, and capable of entering into a binding agreement. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide to us is accurate and complete.
3. Accounts
Some features of the Service require you to create an account. You are responsible for:
- Keeping your login credentials confidential;
- All activity that occurs under your account; and
- Notifying us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.
You may not share your account, login credentials, or paid access with any other person. Each account is for a single individual user. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that are shared, sold, or used in violation of these Terms.
4. Access Passes and Payment
Certain parts of the Service are available only through the purchase of a paid access pass.
- One-time passes, not auto-renewing. Access passes are sold as one-time purchases for a fixed period (for example, a one-month pass or another available plan). Your access begins when your payment is confirmed and ends automatically when the pass period expires. Access passes do not renew automatically and we do not store your card to charge you again.
- Expiry. When your access pass expires, your access to the paid content will end. We may send you a reminder email around the time your pass expires, inviting you to purchase a new pass if you wish. You are under no obligation to do so, and ignoring such an email will not result in any charge.
- Pricing. Prices for access passes are displayed on the Service and may change from time to time. The price that applies to you is the price shown at the time of your purchase.
- Payment processing. Payments are handled by third-party payment providers. By purchasing an access pass, you agree to the terms and policies of the applicable payment provider. We do not store your full payment card details.
5. Refunds
Please review our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms. In summary, access passes are non-refundable except where a refund is required by applicable law. Because access to digital content is granted immediately upon purchase, we are generally unable to offer refunds once a pass has been activated.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree that you will not:
- Copy, reproduce, distribute, publicly display, sell, or share any content from the Service except as expressly permitted;
- Use any automated means (such as scraping, bots, or downloaders) to extract content or questions from the Service;
- Share, resell, or transfer your account or paid access to others;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other users' accounts, or our systems;
- Use the Service in any way that is unlawful, infringing, or harmful, or that interferes with the proper functioning of the Service.
Violation of this section may result in immediate suspension or termination of your access without refund.
7. Intellectual Property
All content provided through the Service — including questions, explanations, text, graphics, figures, illustrations, design, and software — is owned by or licensed to UroNovus and is protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the content for your own educational use during the period of any valid access pass. No other rights are granted.
8. Content Accuracy
We make reasonable efforts to ensure the educational content is accurate and current. However, medicine evolves, guidelines change, and errors can occur. We do not warrant that the content is complete, accurate, current, or free of errors, and the content should always be cross-checked against authoritative clinical sources and the most recent guidelines. See the Medical Disclaimer.
9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The Service and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, UroNovus and the UroNovus team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service or its content — including any clinical decision made in reliance on the content. Your use of the Service and its content is at your own risk.
10. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you breach these Terms or if we are required to do so by law. You may stop using the Service at any time. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of the jurisdiction in which the Service is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service will be subject to the appropriate courts of that jurisdiction.
13. Contact
If you have any questions about these Terms, please contact the UroNovus team through the contact details provided on the Service.
These Terms are provided in plain language for general informational purposes and do not constitute legal advice.
